Cottimo

The name of this part of the island is derived from the cultivation on different level of the land, in a time when this part of Procida was under abbey’s control. The first part from Punta Pioppeto to Capo Bove, where la Rosa Dei Venti is situated, has a rocky coast of jagged cliffs. From Capo Bove to Punta Serra the sandy beach of Pozzo Vecchio is ideal for small children. From Capo Bove, which is easily reached from the Residence, on a clear day one has vantage to see Ischia’s Monte Epomeo as well as the isle of Ventotene. At sunset, it seems that the sun disappears into the sea.
